Comparing yourself to the picture in your head of the ideal body could feel quite depressing. You might be thinking that it would take impossible amount of effort and time to reach it.
We’re here to give you some good news and cheer you up. It doesn’t actually have to be that hard.
Many of us feel like we are supposed to take large steps towards our goal, and we don’t pay attention to the little things. Actually, the small, almost invisible steps that we take daily, have the greatest significance for our body.
What Simple Changes Could Help You Have a Stunning Body
Always think about the bigger picture, but never forget that you will be getting there in small steps. There are many simple things you could do on a daily basis that will make it a lot easier for you to lose weight and look good.
In the beginning it might look hard, but after you do these things for a while, they will become a habit and you won’t even have to think about them, you will just do them automatically.
Here are the simple things you could change in your daily routine if you want to see change in the mirror, and feel confident in your body.
Drink Water…Lots of it
You won’t stop hearing that – drinking water is important not only to feel good, but to look good too. How does it work though?
It increases your metabolism that converts fat into energy, and it also lowers your appetite. So drink up!
Morning routine
You might have heard a lot of times that breakfast is the most important meal of the day.
Actually, all meals are important and you shouldn’t skip them, but for a fit body breakfast is critical.
Having a fulfilling, protein rich breakfast will give you enough energy to go through the day, and you won’t feel as hungry during lunch and dinnertime.
Adding some simple exercises or even yoga poses to your morning routine will help you to easily achieve and maintain a fit body.
Cut Calories but Don’t Starve
If you want to lose weight, you should aim for calorie deficit – that means burning more calories that you are consuming daily. However, that doesn’t mean you should starve yourself.
Starving will actually put your body into a protective mode, meaning that it will be storing more fat in order to have enough resources, since it expects the hunger to continue. Just try to find a good balance.
Increase Protein Intake
A healthy diet for a toned figure should not be favoring carbs. Instead, try to consume more protein through foods like meat, legumes, milk, and others.
If you want to get enough protein in order to cut on carbs consumption and still have enough energy to go through your day and exercise, protein shakes are a great and tasty option. Plus, they will satisfy sweets cravings without adding any sugar to your organism.
Take Walks
A simple thing you can do is walking places, instead of driving or taking the transport. A brief walk will still burn more calories than simply sitting around.
It could also lower stress levels and improve your mood, and you will be feeling much more productive.
Miss on the Fizzy Drinks
Fizzy drinks are a big “no” for health and fitness. Simply cutting on them will help you lose weight and feel much better.
You won’t be bloated and your body will be burning much more calories, since you will be missing on the empty calories, provided by these types of drinks. Replace them with water, tea, homemade lemonade, fresh, or some other healthy and natural drink.
Manage Stress
There are a few ways that stress could lead to weight gain.
It leads to cortisol production in your brain, which makes you feel really hungry, and sometimes you need to eat a lot of food, until you feel better.
Overeating when stress is a way for a lot of people to cope, which is also why very stressed people often become overweight.
You can decrease stress levels by a significant amount by incorporating some yoga into your daily routine.
Don’t Underestimate Sleep
Lack of healthy sleep also leads to the production of cortisol, which highly increases your appetite. That is why if you haven’t slept enough, you might be feeling hungrier than usual and ruin your diet trying to compensate.
It’s true that a lot of us can’t afford to sleep for full eight hours, but doctors recommend getting at least 7 hours of sleep, in order to keep the balance in our weight.
That’s good news, isn’t it? You will be feeling refreshed and energetic during the day, plus it will be much easier to maintain a toned figure.
